Founded in 2019, BMS-UK is a professional maritime organization committed to advancing excellence in maritime research, education, and sustainable industry practices. The organisation promotes collaboration on maritime affairs, climate resilience, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Established by the Bangladeshi maritime diaspora in the United Kingdom, BMS-UK has grown into an inclusive global network of maritime professionals, academics, and industry leaders. Through knowledge sharing, professional development, and international partnerships, BMS-UK strives to contribute to a safer, more sustainable, and globally connected maritime sector.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower, advocate for, and support Bangladeshi mariners in the UK. We do this by offering a range of services that encompass professional development, cultural preservation, and community support. Our goal is to ensure mariners have the resources and opportunities they need to excel in their careers while preserving their cultural heritage. We also work tirelessly to represent their rights within the maritime industry, provide crucial assistance during emergencies, and promote a safe and supportive environment for all mariners and their families.
